o Performs market research/sourcing for program requirements to include small businesses (supplier diversity) and prepares market analysis of competitor products, pricing, promotions, packaging, trends, loyalty programs, and marketing initiativeso Acts as the competition advocate for the program, ensuring best value solutions to the customero Prepares request for quotations, reviews supplier bids for responsiveness to the requirements, and performs written price analysis providing the narrative justifying the recommended awardo Negotiates with the suppliers and issues purchase orders that will meet the program delivery scheduleso Tracks suppliers to ensure they are on track for committed delivery times and expedites those orders as requiredo All marketing, solicitations, price analysis and purchase order awards must be in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures, program requirements and FAR/DFARs, Public Law, and statutory requirementso Ensures timely payment of the suppliers working closely with accounts payable and processes required closeout of the procurement file in accordance with the company's closeout and record retention policieso Maintain high ethical and professional standards always as a key representative of the company to outside supplierso Support pre-award surveys and supplier evaluationsAssist in various internal and external audits, including but not limited to DCMA, CPSR, and small business program reviewso Resolve vendor/contractor grievances, and claimso Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requestedo 2
years in a government contracting purchasing in a prime USG cost reimbursable environment desirable o Understanding of sourcing principals, both domestic and internationally o Good written and verbal communications skills with an ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders internal and external to valiant to provide status on purchasing actionso Ability to engage and work cooperatively with program operations, contracts, accounts payable, logistics, IT, business development, pricing, and otherso Can-do, self-motivated, collaborative, and professional demeanor, good project and time management skills requiredo Attention to detail and great organizational and time management skills with flexibility to adapt to changing prioritieso Deltek, CostPoint, procurement execution experience highly desired o Proficient in Microsoft applications (outlook, word, excel, SharePoint) o Ability to travel (10%) to support contract transition activities when requiredo Us citizen required o Secret clearance desired or ability to obtain a secret clearance EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
